My wife says that having air conditioning in the dorm would have been a great addition, but the fan provided in the room worked effectively to keep us cool during the night.

Deserted beaches were perfect for my solitude. Met new people in the communal areas, except for the guy who thought bad ukulele covers were desirable. Loved the lounge with garden views, where I could escape reality with a cocktail.

Who needs ATMs when you can pay a 10% card fee? A grand way to squeeze those extra funds.

We had a great stay at Abaquar in Velha Boipeba. the staff at reception were very helpful and spoke good English. the air conditioning in our room worked properly, and we were able to agree on the temperature in advance. the pool was amazing and the hostel had a beautiful garden. the room we stayed in was big and comfortable, and we even had the option to switch to one with air conditioning. the hostel had a nice hammock area and a kitchen with a barbecue, which we found to be great additions. we would highly recommend this hostel for solo travelers or groups of friends. Cons: Nothing all excellent. 👍.

I recently stayed at a lovely hostel in Boipeba and had a fantastic time. The location was ideal, close to the pier and the beautiful Cueira beach. The hostel was surrounded by lush trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere while still being conveniently located near stores, supermarkets, and restaurants. The friendly and helpful staff, mostly volunteers, made my stay even more enjoyable. The accommodations offered three options, and I found the comfort twin room with TV and A/C to be perfect for a couple. The breakfast served by the staff was delicious and the hostel grounds were beautiful with seating areas, hammocks, and a lovely garden. it was a great value for money and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The place is the bomb, with killer facilities that are perfect for us cool teens. We had an awesome time exploring the island - snorkeling, fishing, and even went horse riding! The staff was super nice and helpful, making sure we had a blast. The chill-out spots in the beautiful garden were lit, and the hammocks were pure relaxation vibes. We'll definitely be back for more, thanks Abaquar!

The only thing we wished for was a bit more of a party atmosphere. While the hostel was amazing for us laid-back folks, we were hoping for more late-night fun and meeting new cool people.
